We are seeking an experienced and proactive Head of Health & Safety to lead our agenda, with main focus on Health & Safety, but the role also includes driving the overall strategic agendas for Diversity & Inclusion, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). 

About the role 
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive our strategic agenda for Health & Safety. We are looking for someone with strong initiative and strategic skills who can: 

  • Lead and Innovate: 
    - Drive the strategic agenda for Health & Safety, including Diversity & Inclusion, and CSR within Coor.
    - Develop and secure implementation of a safety culture within the whole organization.
    - Overall responsible for incident reporting and investigation.
  • Set Targets and Measure Success: 
    - Establish short- and long-term goals and KPIs, measure, follow up, analyse and take action.
  • Foster Collaboration and Best Practices: 
    - Provide strategic support and expertise across four countries, ensuring best practices are shared and implemented effectively. 
    - Collaborate closely with the Sustainability Department, local HR teams, and Group Communication to align efforts and maximize impact. 
  • Develop Common Campaigns and Lead Projects: 
    - Spearhead campaigns such as the "I Care Campaign" and champion diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organization. 
  • Cultural Change: 
    - Inspire and influence cultural change through strategic communication, training and engagement. 

Organizational Role
You will be part of Group HR, reporting to the HR Director, and play a key role in the HR Management Team. In this matrix organization, you will lead the Health & Safety agenda, manage common governing forums, and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. You will oversee health and safety across Nordic countries, with functional responsibility for local teams managing country-specific activities. 

Our Candidate
We are looking for a strategic leader with a strong initiative who possesses: 

  • Strategic Vision and Initiative: Demonstrated ability to develop and drive strategic initiatives that align with organizational objectives. 
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse audiences. 
  • Project and Change Management Expertise: Proven track record in managing projects and leading change initiatives. 
  • Experience in Matrix Organizations: Ability to navigate and lead within matrix organizations, fostering cross-functional collaboration. 
  • Business Acumen: Business-oriented mindset focused on delivering results and driving growth. 

Background and Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience: Extensive leadership experience with a focus on Health & Safety.
  • HR Process Knowledge: Understanding of the entire people process, from attracting and recruiting talent to onboarding, development, and engagement. 
  • Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with legislation related to social sustainability and EU directives. 
  • Professional Background: Experience as an HR Manager with a focus on the work environment or or experienced HSE Manager. 
  • Education: Academic degree in HR, Sustainability, Economics, or a related field.
